Existing between the world’s certainties

"Existing between the world's certainties" brings together a young generation of Moroccan photographers whose trajectories unfold across several geographies without ever letting themselves be assigned to any of them. Trained abroad, anchored abroad as much as in Morocco, they produce forms that shift the very frames from which we look. The exhibition gathers practices that escape simplistic readings of identity. Neither a return to origins nor a projection toward a fantasised elsewhere, these works handle the very matter of circulations, frictions and gaps. They compose with multiple visual heritages, absorb them, sometimes contradict them, to invent other regimes of images. From these mobile positions, the artists reveal invisible zones of tension, put the dominant narratives to the test and open perspectives that belong neither to belonging nor to rupture, but to a form of active presence in the world.
